Banoffee Pies continue their great run of form with an outstanding compilation from their friends and associates, calling upon the talents of FYI Chris and Admin amongst others to build an EP encapsulating hip-hop to broken beat house.
The undoubted highlight for us is a lush summer number from Croatian based Cuisine Dub, who grounds his track with a wonderfully warm groove, utilising a rolling bassline and deft percussion to keep the track moving in the background. This gives him the springboard to show us the extent of his musicianship, playfully tinkering on the keys and synths to turn his groove into a 7-minute jazz track that still seems too short by the time it strikes it’s last note.
