Home of Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley and more, Island Records has been a focal point for a lot of amazing music released over the last 50 years. Now with two of their most exciting new signings, the label are proud to announce the first of what promises to be a regular series of live Island Life gigs, aiming to shine a light on the assembly of fresh new talent at the label.

The co-headline show will bring one of the most unique artists to emerge out of the UK urban scene in recent years, George The Poet, together with rising singer/songwriter JP Cooper who topped the iTunes chart earlier this year with his debut EP Keep The Quiet Out.

Since signing with the label back in 2013, George The Poet has been harnessing his craft whilst studying at Cambridge University, blending poetry and rap with hypnotic effect that has landed him commissions on the BBC, Channel 4 and Sky TV. Now a graduate with more time to play with, his label debut The Chicken And The Egg EP (out October 20th) has been making noise all over, with the upcoming headline show marking a proper entrance at the label.

Tickets are almost sold-out so move fast on this one, and get a taste of what the show will bring below:
