Floating Points, Sons of Kemet and Lex Amor among new names announced for We Out Here

We Out Here Festival have announced over 100 new names for their second edition, which will take place between 19-22 August in Abbots Ripton, Cambridge.

Made up of artists, DJs, collectives and partners, the line up boasts a live programme that includes the likes of Sons Of Kemet, Kokoroko and Nubiyan Twist, who will also be joined by London jazz staples Ezra Collective, Moses Boyd, Emma Jean Thackray and Steam Down Orchestra.

Saxophonist Nubya Garcia, rappers Lex Amor and Goya Gumbani will also head up a series of solo sessions, while the electronic live programming will be taken care of by producer Leon Vynehall, who will perform his highly anticipated forthcoming album Rare, Forever, and DnB mainstay dBridge will present a UK premiere of his show Black Electric LIVE.

The DJ programming welcomes a host of long-loved heroes, such as Mala, Loefah, Floating Points, Calibre, Shanti Celeste and Joy Orbison, and a wealth of new, exciting talent including Anz, Shy One, Eliza Rose, Donna Leake and Zakia.

We out Here Festival is brought to you by broadcaster and DJ Gilles Peterson, co-curated with his label Brownswood and radio station Worldwide FM. A festival for everyone, the weekend celebrates both long loved heroes and new, exciting talent.

Ahead of the festival We Out Here will be curating a monthly digital event series, kicking off on Friday 5 March with Ashley Henry, Onipa, Channel One and Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy.
