Dimensions Festival have announced their lineup for the 2017 edition of the Croatian festival and it’s a diverse affair that features an all night set by Theo Parrish, a founding father of Detroit techno.
The week-long event’s organisers continue their series of impeccable opening concerts in Pula’s roman amphitheatre with a live show by multi-talented Jamaican artist Grace Jones. She will be supported by Berlin artists Moderat alongside London jazz heads Yussef Kamaal and Moses Boyd.
The festival, which runs from August 30 to September 3, is known for programming that spans techno, house, disco, soul and funk.
Psychedelic soul artist Shuggie Otis, composer of ‘Strawberry Letter 23’ heads up the event’s live acts. Ata Kak will be bringing his synth-laden live show and Floating Points is set to perform both his solo live set and a DJ set. Keyboard wizard Joshua “Amp” Fiddler will also treat us to his live vocals, whilst British funk group Cymande finish the roster.
The Hessle Audio Trio will return to the fort for a label showcase accompanied by New York techno pioneer Levon Vincent and Joy Orbison. Josey Rebelle also returns after a stunning set on Stamp The Wax’s boat party last year. US based Jonwayne and MNDSGN bring the big beats whilst big room techno will be represented at the festival by Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann and Nina Kravitz.
