Hunee to launch new Rush Hour compilation series with ‘Hunchin All Night’

Hunchin

Since a critically acclaimed debut album on Rush Hour last year, Hunee‘s been keeping busy on the road with little solo work to announce. That’s all changing now with the announcement of a new compilation, titled Hunchin All Night, which kicks of a series for the Amsterdam label.

We’re not privy to a full tracklist just yet, but we’re told it will feature some of Hunee’s favourite “dancefloor cuts”, from the 70s up until present day, with tracks from Boncana Maiga, Zogo, Black Beat Niks, Kenny Larkin and Mappa Mundi. Speaking to the label yesterday, we’re told this is something Hunee has “wanted to work out for a long time”, so expect careful consideration over every single track.

Hunchin All Night will soon be followed by Surinam Funk Force in the pipeline for four years – compiled by Thomas Gesthuizen and Antal and shining a light on funk and disco from the the small South American country.

Hunchin All Night will be released after summer on Rush Hour.
