When: 13-14th May 2016
Where: Pontins, Camber Sants
Tickets: £99.00 Early Birds // £129, £139, £160

Soundcrash has just announced its new festival in Pontins (Camber Sands), and despite it only being the first lineup release, it’s already shaping up pretty nicely. The first batch of artists include afrobeat legend Tony Allen, Tru Thoughts founder Quantic and soul singer Alice Russell, along with soul veterans Norman Jay and Craig Charles. Mr Scruff will also be treating the crowd with his eclectic mix of funk, afrobeat and soul. British-Ghanaian singer Andrew Ashong will undoubtedly deliver one of the weekend’s more mellow sets and those looking for something more upbeat will find it in highlife act Ibibio Sound Machine and afrobeat artist Dele Sosimi. Cut and paste specialist DJ Yoda will also be appearing over the weekend.

Soundcrash promises that more artists will be announced later down the line, eventually amounting to 30 bands and 40 djs. Labels including Wah Wah 45s and Tru Thoughts, along with club nights such as South London Soul Train will help curating the stages at the festival.

Soundcrash’s Funk & Soul Weekender will take place in Pontins, Camber Sands on 13-14th May 2016. £99 earlybird tickets go on sale today, £129-£160 thereafter. All tickets include chalet accommodation.
