The aptly named Hackney-based record store, Vinyl Pimp, is grabbing headlines at the minute and for good reason too. The store is offering private viewings of a humungous collection of vinyl acquired last month from the home of a former vinyl distributer. Consisting of hip hop in between various styles of house and techno, the paramount collection is thought to narrate dance music’s maturation between the years of 1983 and 1993.
Viewings are running from 5.30 to 7.30pm Monday to Friday for the next few weeks, with slots allocated to a maximum of 2; giving you ample time and space to empty your pockets whilst filling a bag or three. It’ll be a long while before this collection starts to dwindle, but it’s certainly been getting some just attention in the last few.
Drop a message over to dan@vinylpimp.co.uk to grab yourself your own viewing slot.
