Perhaps heard on the floor doesn’t quite do justice to the glorious surroundings in which this track was played out at Gilles Peterson‘s Worldwide Festival last week, but each time the funky bassline rippled through the crowd, the whole world was a dance-floor. Such was its effect on people, master curator Mr. Peterson felt compelled to play it out three times on the last day of the festival.
Originally written by Stevie for Roberta Flack, we are now being treated to his unreleased guide vocals. All that is left is to thank The Reflex for this revision; we are eagerly awaiting the full release. Don’t make us wait too long!
