James Yancey, aka J Dilla, left an indelible mark on music. His soulful production and distinctive delivery is instantly recognisable to anyone who calls themselves a hip-hop or soul head. Mos Def, or Yasiin Bey as he’s now known, is also a major talent in hip-hop. At London’s Indigo venue, he’ll be playing some of J Dilla’s most-lauded cuts as well as his own material in a tribute night to the producer, who passed away with Lupus in 2006. Known for his soulful voice as well as his wordplay, Yasiin will undoubtedly make this a night to for all in attendance to remember.
