In the latest of a string of very pleasant surprises from the Dimensions Festival family, they have revealed the second wave of artists that are going to be blowing us away in the abandoned Croatian fort this summer. Adding to the already glowing roster of headliners, we have the funk legend that is George Clinton, leader of seminal group, Parliament Funkadelic, who began as a staff writer at Motown before going on to be classed in the same league as James Brown.
Alongside Clinton, we have premium German export Gerd Janson, UK techno giant Blawan, and dance music duos Bicep and Dusky. Very excitingly, Rush Hour buddies Hunee and Antal have also been added to the bill, as well as Carl Craig’s protégé Recloose and nu-era jazzist Dorian Concept. These names have been added to a lineup that is already burgeoning with fantastic acts, including Moodymann, Ben Klock and the Hessle Audio trio. All of these names, along with plenty more, have people snapping up tickets sooner rather than later. Not to mention the key location, amazing Croatian weather, non-stop music and an Opening Concert programme which boasts Four Tet, Floating Points and Little Dragon.
With more announcements and surprises to come, this certainly isn’t the last we’ve heard from the Croatian festival in terms of incentives to party with them. With what’s been revealed already – music, beach and the guarantee of sunshine – it’s certainly enough for us.
