Preview: Soundcrash presents Andreya Triana

When: 2nd April 2015
Where: Village Underground, Shoreditch
Tickets: £13.50 + bf

A gift we’re hoping to find under our Christmas tree is a ticket to see Ninja Tune’s diamond Andreya Triana playing at Village Underground in April. Andreya is a clear favourite of Soundcrash’s, who have already billed her for multiple London dates in the past, including a takeover in a Soho basement club and a very special low-key affair in an Islington chapel.

As well as her fruitful solo career, Andreya’s smoky vocals have previously featured on tracks by the likes of Flying Lotus and Bonobo. Now, since her 2010 album Lost Where I Belong, she is building up a more pop-friendly portfolio. Her downtempo singles ‘Everything You Never Had Pt. II‘ and ‘Song for a Friend‘ reflect a style which is all at once acoustic yet soulful. A sound that is shrouded in mystery and rich in tonal warmth, Andreya’s April show is set to be glorious.
