This Thursday (21st August), iconic clothing brand GAP will be commemorating 45 years (#since1969) of youthful spirit and laidback Americana style with a nostalgia-themed party above their concept store at BoxPark in East London.
For their birthday, GAP is throwing a #discsNdenim blow-out to celebrate the humble beginnings of Doris and Don Fisher, who started “The Gap” in 1969, selling vinyls and denim, and who really encapsulated what American optimism was all about in the 60’s.

The party sounds pretty damn cool. It’ll be centred around this theme of Discs N Denim, including t-shirt printing, projections of GAP’s vintage adverts, free drinks & cupcakes, plus a Polaroid competition where you can win a £250 gift card to spend at GAP!
Not only that but BBC Introducing Radio 1 DJ and cassette-label owner Jen Long will fittingly be spinning some nostalgic wax to get people grooving to sound of 1969.
Oh and the first 100 people through the door will get a FREE t-shirt printed from the 1969 range, so we’d recommend getting their early!
The GAP concept store can be found at:
