Sorry George, we don’t mean to make a mockery of environmental destruction, but when the circle of life touches music in this way, its hard to dislodge our tongue from our cheek. The sad news was broken earlier this morning by the LA Times, that a George Harrison memorial tree in LA’s Griffiths Park has been killed by beetles. Despite being an avid gardener, Harrison no doubt would be chuckling at the tree’s ironic demise near where he spent the final years of his life.
All you naturalists out there will be pleased to know replanting is planned although a date has not yet been set.
