Established in London in 1999, Defected celebrates its fifteenth anniversary this year with an ambitious global tour and the opening of its first-ever record store and exhibition space.
Defected Records opens in Shoreditch on 1st May and will allow visitors exclusive access to its catalogue of music, past and present. Limited edition original releases and edits from the label’s archives will also be available for purchase or sampling at various Pioneer listening points. Rare memorabilia will visually chart the label’s evolution over the last 15 years, while some of the best DJs, producers and artists from the global house music scene will be invited to host a series of events, talks and workshops. We’ll be bringing you more info about the pop-up parties soon.
In addition, the Defected 15 Club Tour will be launched on 2nd May at London’s Oval Space in collaboration with Mixmag Live, and will stop off in 14 more locations around the world. May also sees the launch of D Store, Defected’s new online store which will offer a full music download service as well as Defected fashion apparel and accessories.
