The fourth in a four-part series of woodland sessions with Brainchild Festival. Watch the rest of the series.
Plumm is a London-based instrumentalist, singer and producer, who trained at the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy and channels the female greats of the past through a rich and eclectic lens, powered by an ever-rotating band of musicians.
For her Brainchild session, Plumm invited some her favourite musicians to a deserted cabin for an improvised jam, reflective of the constantly evolving nature of her live set-up.
“Brainchild has welcomed me into their loving arms and with a place I can call home I’ve been able to build my craft in their safe space, especially as an up-and-coming artist. Starting off at the jam nights and their Hatch events our relationship started to grow, especially with my solo projects and then larger collectives such as Levitation Orchestra. It’s been a beautiful evolution.”
Brainchild is an award-winning not-for-profit festival taking place every July in the south of England. In the absence of this year’s edition due to Covid-19, we’ve collaborated to create a series of four woodland sessions with their 2019 lineup.
