Darcey Electronics is the meeting of Amsterdam-based minds Darling and Tracey, who convene for the first time to launch Plant Life, a new label helmed by LYL Radio resident and Data Bank boss Ally Tropical.
Having notched up solo releases for the likes of Dial, Off Minor Recordings, Safe Trip, Voyage Direct and Intergraded, under their new collaborative moniker the pair craft four tripped out electronic experiments that flaunt drifting melodies and hypnotic percussion. Our pick ‘Morgen’ opens slowly with oscillating pads, sparse snares and syncopated kicks that amp up at the half way point as they’re joined by an entrancing synth line and glistening keys.
