Premiere: Persian – Parvaaneh (Alphonse Remix)

Chuggy runs a tight ship over at his labels; the schedule for both [Emotional] Especial and Emotional Rescue this year is already looking jam packed. Kicking off their fifth year with Timothy J. Fairplay’s Faxes From The Future, Especial gear up for their next release from the elusive Persian. Not much is known about him, but he’s been quietly releasing his own productions over the last two decades on his own Existence Is Resistance imprint.

Sounding something like the Persian love child of Larry Heard, ‘Parvaaneh’ fuses the deep throb of Chicago house with raw mystifying vocals. Eliciting the help of Klasse Wrecks and Hypercolours’ Alphonse to rework the original, the addition of tittering percussion and sequenced programming flip it in to a groove-fuelled cut.

Empire will be released on 28 March via [Emotional] Especial
