Premiere: Sterling Styles – Nobody (Dub)

Well this beauty has arrived in perfect time hasn’t it? Just before summer really kicks off… we expect to be hearing this dazzling track in many festival sets.

‘Nobody (Dub)’ is a sun-drenched garage-house track, showcasing infectious body-pumping drums and synth rhythms harking back to the sounds of Larry Levan in the late 80s New York. It runs through Todd ‘The God’ Edwards masterpieces and Johnick’s ‘The Captain’, which is one of Move D’s go-to dance-floor dazzlers. Anyway, it’s a delight to hear a more garage-leaning track, when, apart from some players like Flava D, it’s all but absent these days (sob).

What makes this track by the mysterious Sterling Styles so delectable isn’t just its old school beat and treacle vocals, but the stunning 22a-iconic jazzed up melody undulating throughout the track. Nothing is known about Sterling Styles, but we would trust 22a with our life when it comes to music. So all we can say is loose yourself dancing away to this track, but keep an eye out for this new intriguing name.
