First issued in 1993, Larry Heard and Raymond Funnye’s slept on classic ‘Original Ground’, is receiving a reissue from Black Market Records, and today we bring you an alternate mix of the original, unreleased until now. The cheeky shifting melody, off-kilter percussion and catchy piano riff all feature, but with a whole heap of flanger to keep your mind tripping and your body dancing. As one of the longest-standing names in house music history, the so called originator of ‘deep house’, Heard is showing no signs of slowing up, with a live appearance at Dimensions planned for summer. We for one will be at the front.
