Following a successful first run of our Advent Calendar in 2014, we’re back this year to countdown the 25 days of Christmas with an exclusive track released each day in December from some of our favourite artists and labels across the world.
Each track will be available as a pay-what-you-want on Bandcamp, with all proceeds being donated to Help Musicians, an organisation supporting musicians in times of crisis. Following a campaign on tinnitus and hearing loss, their next big focus is on mental health in the music industry – a topic close to our hearts.
Last year, participants included BBE, Seven Davis Jr, Melanie de Biasio, Damiano von Erckert, Kirkis, Henry Wu and Reginald Omas Mamode IV and this year we’re stepping things up with some all-time favourites. In the mix, we’ve got London-based trio Dark Sky, German groove connoisseur and Money $ex Records head-honcho Glenn Astro, Detroit hip-hop supremo Tall Black Guy, forward thinking house grooves from M.ono & Luvless and Krywald & Farrer, Montreal-based 1080p associate Project Pablo brings breezy house with a nostalgic tint, Admin returns with more soulful samples, Nebraska delivers some head-nodding 4/4 and dusty ambient swing comes courtesy of Helsinki favourite Saine.
