Welcome back to another edition in our Monday Morning Mixtape series; dissolving those pesky Monday morning blues every week with an hour of delectable golden grooves from around the world.
Today we have an extra special selection courtesy of London-based DJ and party thrower Liam Klimek (aka Celeste London). Situated in the heart of Shoreditch’s Ace Hotel, Klimek’s All My Friends parties have become a staple consumption for groove-addicts and dance-floor divas in London. Line-ups over the last year have included 22a boys Tenderlonious and Reginald Omas Mammode IV, Throwing Shade and Boiler Room head-honcho Thris Tian.
This Friday will be the 11th instalment in the party’s history, celebrating summer’s approach with Soulection‘s Hannah Faith, NTS host and general vibe-smith Hector Plimmer, as well host Celeste London bringing those warm vibes to the dance floor.
In light of the upcoming knees-up, Celeste London has put together this morning’s mixtape in a similar vein to Friday’s golden beat affair; coasting through dusty 1970s soul, 1950s West Coast cool jazz, hip-hop from both sides of the Atlantic and some uncovered electronic gems to devour. Expect sounds from Andrew Ashong, Al Green, Chet Baker, Knxwledge, Donald Byrd and more.
