London’s twelve-piece ensemble Stompy’s Playground have come together with the LCV (London Contemporary Voices) choir for a six-track EP recreating a number of electronic dance favourites live using a combination of orchestral instruments, synths and percussion.
Set on building bridges between the worlds of electronic dance and classical orchestral music, the EP includes reworks of Jai Paul’s ‘BTSTU‘, Jon Hopkins’ ‘Abandon Window‘ plus two superb medleys fusing SBTRKT’s ‘Sanctuary‘ with Modeselektor’s ‘Berlin‘ and Squarepusher’s iconic ‘My Red Hot Car‘ with Slum Village’s ‘Fall In Love‘.
