Fresh from blowing our socks off with ‘A Million Things’ on Tim Sweeney’s Beats in Space 15th Anniversary compilation, Bath’s very own Samuel has gifted us his ‘Bumpy’ edit of Donald Byrd’s classic ‘Black Byrd’. Kicking off with kicks that kick harder than a kicking kickboxer, things start off a bit Miami bass, building up until the original sample take centre stage, before dropping right back down into a synth workout. Sounding like three or four tracks in one, Samuel’s made a track that sounds a bit like seven minute workout during a Floating Points or Theo Parrish set. What more could you ask for this Christmas!
