Sporting a voguish swank over soul-infused beats has become a rather pleasant habit of Jay Prince‘s as of late. The 21-year-old East London lyricist has been making noise for a few years but much like his esteemed city dweller Little Simz it wasn’t till he hooked up with Californian label Soulection that heads started to turn.
His inclusion on the label’s Sound Of Tomorrow compilation last month initiated a new trajectory for the young rapper, with momentum sure to build inline with his forthcoming EP BeFor Our Time (release date: TBA).
Much like a rite of passage for all newly established Soulection-affiliates, Jay’s teamed up with a fellow label-mate IAMNOBODI for a track off his upcoming release, following in the footsteps of fellow East London rising-star Ego Ella May.
