It’s my debut Monday Morning Mixtape this week as part of the STW crew. There’s not really an obvious over-arching theme to the mix, but there are plenty of samples from across the boards for you to recognise and vibe to on your bank holiday.
We kick off with some dusty New York jazz before spinning some infectious tracks from newcomers Fatima and Shura. Later on we have a lovely summery house track that samples the Senegalese maestro Youssou N’dour, along with some eighties Lover’s Rock and nostalgic nineties hip hop. We finish on with vintage J Dilla production and some heavenly Motown. Hope you enjoy this week’s soulful mix.
