When: Saturday 17th August 2013
Where: Larksmoor Farm, East Sussex
Tickets: £20 + bf

After a successful debut year, Cobbfest is returning on 17th August, displaying an eclectic variety of music. The venue has moved to Larksmoor Farm, a discrete location in the heart of Sussex’s quaint countryside. Although it is a one-day festival, the music goes on until 2am and camping is an option included in the modestly priced ticket.

The Brighton based Physics House Band are headliners for this year’s Cobbfest, compared to the forward-thinking music of Jaga Jazzist and technical tunefulness of bands such as Battles. Originally from Southampton, Pale Seas also feature on the bill. The band’s intimate yet ethereal sound will bring us a heart-melting set lost somewhere between dreamy American folk and British indie-pop.

At dusk, the producers and DJs come out to play. Utrecht‘s release APC (out on Good Years) received huge support from acts Mistajam, T. Williams, Skream & Benga and Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Label, and also made an excellent mix for us last year. Rumah‘s first release on Nineteen89 Records came out last year and received positive reviews from many respected outlets of underground music press. According to Church Label, Rumah’s next EP is in the pipeline, and will include the standout track Stutter.

With a guarantee of only the highest quality music from all the acts, Cobbfest promises a refreshing change from the impersonal bustle of larger festivals.
