She might be from Copenhagen but the Nanna B’s sound is steeped strongly in American Soul. Keep on Moving was the track that first caught our eye, which combines Damp’s dusty, jazzy beat with the Nanna’s softly sung lyrics. We asked her for some background to the words and she explained that it was made in her parents house after her studio had flooded. It came at a time in her life when she’d decided to pursue her dream of making music by self-funding her first album and that determination really comes across in the song.
Keep on Moving is taken from the album Vitaphone which is out this month on Underdog Records. Beyond that Nanna is in LA at the moment working on new material with other producers and musicians so we’re excited to hear more.
