Ezra Collective, Underground Resistance, Archie Shepp & Kenny Dope set for We Out Here 2020

Steam Down, Floating Points all night, Greentea Peng and Mr Scruff also booked for Gilles Peterson’s UK festival.

We Out Here has announced the first names for its second edition running 20th-23rd August. The Cambridgeshire festival is Gilles Peterson’s first in the UK, run in partnership with Worldwide FM and Brownswood with a salute to the wider Worldwide Family who have been part of Gilles’ journey for the last few decades.

In keeping with Peterson’s mantra – and no easy task for a festival – the lineup gives equal weighting to live music and club culture, from icons to emerging names, across the musical spectrum. Heading up the live bill comes jazz legend Archie Shepp alongside new gen leaders Ezra Collective, Mad Mike Banks’ hi-tech jazz unit Underground Resistance, South London improvisors Steam Down, soul young guns Greentea Peng, Erika de Casier and Lynda Dawn, ambient OG Gigi Masin and a Night Dreamer takeover featuring the godmother of Turkish psych Selda.

On the DJ front comes Floating Points all night, Kenny Dope celebrating 30 years, lounge originators Kruder & Dorfmeister, James Lavelle presenting his 90s party ‘That’s How It Is’, alongside Jayda G, Fred B, Joy Orbison, Mr Scruff, Channel One, Idjut Boys and Steve Spacek. Stamp The Wax will also be hosting another all-night takeover, more details coming soon.
