Hardijs Lediņš was one of the core members of NSRD, a Latvian avant-garde group active from the 80s through to the early noughties. Working over multiple disciplines, he and co-founder Juris Boiko dabbled in more than just music, their creativity manifesting through visual arts, video, performance, poetry and much more.
Following Stroom’s 2018 reissue of NSRD’s work, Musiques Electroniques Actuelles dive into the solo work of Hardijs, exploring ambient, folk and jazz influences. Our premiere is title track ‘Tiny Crabs’; a wash of twinkling keys, shimmering percussion punctuated by a low slung bass line and staccato drum patterns.
Tiny Crabs in Deep Waters will be released on 1st March – preorder on Bandcamp.
