Monday Morning Mixtape 226

Sail through 1981 Philly soul, sample-heavy German instrumental hip-hop and 1971 French jazz-funk.

Welcome back to a new Monday Morning Mixtape to start off your week. This week’s mixtape is curated by jazz-indebted London hip-hop group Summers Sons, made up of brothers Slim (beats) and Turt (lyrics), and C.Tappin (keys and vocals). They recently released their debut album Uhuru on Melting Pot Music.

In their own words, MMM226 is “a collection of new and old favourites to help ease you in to a new week. We’ve chosen a mix of sounds from around the world that have helped steer us on our musical journey.”
