Premiere: Prequel – The Song I Said I’d Make For You Mixed

Last we heard from Melbourne’s biggest Seinfeld fan, he was braving the Swedish winter this time last year with a debut on Local Talk. Flipping the seasons this cold spell sees another first, this time for Distant Hawaii, the palm tree venerating sister label of  Lobster Theremin.

‘The Song I Said I’d Make For You’ leads out the four tracks of Without You, kitted out with dust-pattered EQ sweeps, twinkling semi-bells and washes of warm, incandescent synth. Nodding to his love of hip-hop – something that runs in the family it seems – the half-way point is punctuated by a half-speed interlude, stopping for breath before a crescendoed finale.

Without You EP is out 7th December – buy from Lobster Theremin
