Hessle Audio, Mim Suleiman, Call Super & Lena Willikens head to Morocco for Atlas Electronic

Atlas Electronic return to Morocco for their second edition on 30th August. The four day programme of music, art and culture is set in the beautiful surroundings of Villa Janna Ecolodge, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, just outside Marrakech.

Peep the full lineup below, but away from the headliners, our ones to watch include RAMZi, Esa, The Pilotwings, Orpheu The Wizard, Zozo, OKO DJ, Max Abysmal, Debora Ipekel, anu, Ece Özel and Tash LC. Local acts include Generation Taragalte, Groupe Amazigh Blues, Groupe Bana and Deena Abdelwahed from neighbouring Tunisia.

More than just an exotic location tuned for Western ears, a big part of the Atlas mission statement is contributing to local culture. Atlas Electronic Projects ensures a year-round activity of intimate listening sessions, collaborations and exchanges of knowledge, skills and cultures, while the arts and culture offering on-site educates visitors about their surroundings.

A number of local artists will be showcasing work across the site, including Sarah Amrani, Salim Bayri and Selwa Abd. The extra-curricula offering is also more varied than most, with photography, tea and cookings workshops, local bike tours, a gnawa academy, massages, hammam and body reset sessions all available.

Grab the last remaining tickets on the Atlas website and head to Soundcloud for the Atlas mix series and Red Light Radio shows.
