Premiere: Secretsundaze – Still Hope (Waajeed’s Searching Dub)

London’s much-loved Secretsundaze duo return to the studio for a second time, with a 12” on Phonica Records. Featuring the vocalised lyrics of British-Cypriot poet Anthony Anaxagoroum, ‘Still Hope’ is a deep, rolling house jam that cements the DJ duo’s status as well-rounded masters of dance.

Dirt Tech Reck’s label head Waajeed steps up with some hard-hitting remixes, stripping back Anthony’s vocals for two floor-focused dance cuts. The ‘Searching Dub,’ is a driving yet dreamy percussive piece; Waajeed’s notoriously jazzy Detroit chord progressions layer up against an arpeggiating, muted bassline and sweeping synths.

Still Hope comes out tomorrow. Get your copy at Phonica Records.

Secretsundaze host two parties at OFFSonar this weekend:
15th June: Joy Orbison, Antal, Dekmantel Soundsystem, FunkinEven b2b Byron The Aquarius, Lakuti
17th June: Ryan Elliot, Tama Sumo and Chaos in the CBD
