London-based imprint Snap, Crackle & Pop are gearing up to unleash their fifth release into the world. Spawned from the club night of the same name, each release is a perfect representation of the sounds you’d hear in the basement of The Waiting Room, the home of their frequent parties.
Release number five comes courtesy of Desert Sound Colony. A regular fixture at the SC&P parties and one of our recent Self-Portrait inductees, he effortlessly blends elements of band music with electronic production. Having been on rotation for us over the last six months, as well as getting airplay from Andrew Weatherall, Manfredas and Vladimir Ivkovic, we’re psyched to deliver this one direct to your ears. ‘Lose My Rhythm’, which also get’s a remix on the flip from Body Hammer’s Scott Fraser, laces an infectious guitar riff with anthemic vocals and an understated acid line to create heady post-punk churned for the dance floor.
Lose My Rhythm comes out on 14 May. Pre order your copy.
