Jackmaster and Peggy Gou to play Needs x UN Women fundraiser in London

Needs (not-for-profit) is a charity collective that uses music as a medium to give back. Through releasing records and putting on events, they’ve collaborated with like-minded producers and DJs, promoted debates on key charitable issues and, at the end of the night, had a right good dance.

Their first 12” at the end of last year recruited Hubie Davison, Johannes Albert, DJ Swagger and Needs boss Bobby Pleasure, while Needs002 is lined up for April with Peggy Gou and Juju & Jordash.

Before that comes the next event on 11th March, is a collaboration with UN Women at Oval Space to raise funds and awareness on the topic of gender equality. Part of HeForShe London Arts Week, it will start with daytime panels curated by shesaidso, AIM, Mixcloud and Resident Advisor speaking to over 20 industry experts. In the evening, the conference becomes a club with Jackmaster and Needs002 contributor Peggy Gou playing alongside Bobby Pleasure.

Needs x HeForShe runs from 12PM – 12AM on 11th March. More info on Facebook and tickets from Resident Advisor (£10 day / £10 night / £15 for both)
