Premiere: Volta Cab – Savage Fury

Bordello A Parigi have been a leading force in vintage synth driven sounds since their conception in 2011. On top of the imprint, head honcho Otto Kraanen helms their online shop, distribution and clothing line. Add to that, overseeing the day-to-day running of their physical record shop which opened its doors in the heart of Amsterdam last year.

Seemingly not one to rest on his laurels, Otto already has several releases locked in for the coming months. He kick starts proceedings with a double LP from Saint Petersburg-based producer Volta Cab, whose blend of powerful synth lines and bassy kicks feels right at home on Bordello A Parigi. From the emotional drive of ‘Sweet Exorcist’ to the dark disco of ‘Emeralds Phantasy’ – there’s even a Austin Powers sample in there – Volta Cab weaves through a wealth of different influences over the course of 11 tracks. Today’s premiere ‘Savage Fury’ is a warm blast amid the deeper cuts on the album. Staying true to the label’s ethos, nods to italo disco manifest in the vibrant synths, playful keys and rich groove.

Rise Again will be released on 29 January. Pre-order from Bordello A Parigi.
