One of the most tireless workhorses of Gottwood Festival, Move D shared the stage during one of his three sets this year with Johannes Albert for a daytime back to back. In and amongst tightly-woven jazzy and soulful house cuts, came one of the set highlights, which, after a frantic email exchange with Johannes after the festival turned out to be ‘Giovanni Frizzante’. Johannes – or Giovanni to his Italian friends – has sprinkled some italo seasoning on this new disco 12” for his own Frank Music. For those who are patient, it’s revved up by one of the baddest piano solos you’ll hear all year and is accompanied by one more original and a remix from Norway’s disco queen Prins Thomas.
