Known primarily for its annual summer festival held in Europe’s festival capital, Croatia, Dimensions Festival has grown a deserved reputation for pulling together billings of the highest order. But whilst continually overachieving in their mission for quality headline acts, the festival have long excelled in supporting up and coming DJs and musicians through slots at the festival itself and their successful project Dimension Sounds, a producer-focused competition in collaboration with CDR.
The team now launch their new DJ Directory, directing the spotlight at up and coming jockeys causing ripples within their respective communities. Acting as a platform the directory will connect DJs to wider audiences as well as promoters, producers labels via a regular mix series and sets at Dimensions hosted events throughout the year.
Names among the the first batch of selectors to be announced include Touching Bass co creator and NTS regular Andwot, Debora Ipekel of Sounds of the Universe and Worldwide FM, Alex T of Leeds based party On Rotation and regular STW contributor. Illustrator and Rhythm Section queen anu, Stamp resident Harri Pepper, Amsterdam’s Brighter Days co-host KAMMA and Sam Hall creator of our Bin Digging: £1 Records series, also join the list of talented names.
To help kick off the directory launch, Dimensions invited Albert’s Favourites co head Dave Koor to assemble the first mix of the DJ Directory mix series. One half of Modified Man, a keyboardist for a number of musical projects, Koor has amassed a library full of quality and variety which will have you moving on the dance floor or scrambling for that pen and paper during his monthly Balamii show.
Head to the Dimensions Festival site for the full DJ Directory lineup.
