Premiere: SoulParlor – Apollo Gees (Pcm Electrify Remix)

Amsterdam-based label INI Movement has long been a staple imprint in the Netherlands known for supporting a whole range of electronic music across the world, lending itself to their far-reaching avowal for good vibes no matter the genre.

Last year we premiered a mellow house masterpiece from Swiss producer Dersu via the label, and today we pick up the space into breakbeat territory with a new remix EP from southern Germany’s SoulParlor.

The remix EP features international heavy-weights Henry Wu, Roman Rauch, K15 and Ugly Drums, with our favourite track coming from master breakbeat Dutch producer Pitch Controller Mitch. Producing an assorted mix of West African guitar twangs and sweetened vocal samples, the fiesta-driven percussion is cross-pollinated with a Wiley-inspired Eski-beat bass riddim, culminating in what sounds like a UK funky hybrid.

SoulParlor’s Misplaced Jukebox Remixes is available to buy right now via the INI Bandcamp.
