Jono McCleery announces new live album and European tour

Jono McCleery the captivating story teller who serenaded us by candlelight at the end of last year, is to release a new live version of Pagodes, his third studio album, which hit shelves last Autumn via IF Music. It’s a definitive piece of work from the British singer songwriter who, with the more-than-able Royce Wood Junior on co-production, melds dry warm vocals with folk and rock, adding soulful and electronic nuances. His work is so accomplished we’re not surprised it’s previously brought comparisons to Miles Davis, Massive Attack and Fink all in one.

Jono performed the complete album in an intimate acoustic set at London’s Elektrowerkz, treating the audience to the true raw and powerful condensed version of the album. It is the recording from this special gig that forms the content of Pagodes Live which is to be released at the end of this month ahead of his imminent European tour. Beginning in the Czech Republic and concluding with a London date and a performance as the Jono McCleery Trio, the Rotterdam-based singer will undoubtedly steal hearts and souls along the way.

Watch our session with Jono above. Pagodes Live is released 26th February on IF Music and is available to pre-order now from the label’s website or via Bandcamp
