Maybe it’s the Tim Peake effect sweeping through our country at the moment, but astrology seems to be creeping into our new music coverage a lot recently. The latest entry to the space race comes Lance Nepture, a Maryland native whose new EP sees Lone dust off his Magicwire imprint for a return after a brief hiatus.
Hiding like a dormant start on the B-side of Animal Eclipse we find ‘Pyxis’, a short burst of energy just shy of three minutes. On an EP underscored by cosmological imagery, Pyxis continues the trend in more than just name (it’s also known the name for a small constellation). Lofi 90s nostalgia featured heavily on a track inspired by VHS skate tapes, sun drenched days and colourful late nights.
