We’re extremely excited to give you an exclusive announcement today of the new residency from the immensely accomplished London imprint 22a. Brought to you by Soundcrash, a night which is set to be a monthly affair will kick off 10th October at Stour Space celebrating the work of the 22a family.
If you haven’t yet come across their brand of soul, jazz and hip-hop infused beats music, this this will surely make 22a and their growing reputation impossible to ignore.
Music on the opening night will come from label boss Tenderlonious, brother Jeen Bassa and Reginald Omas Mamode IV, all from which you can expect a vast range of sounds and grooves, from chops and cuts in head nodding beats to elongated jazzy riffs in down-tempo house. Expect this alongside more music from friends to add more magic to this special inauguration.
The scene for the takeover is to be set in Hackney Wick’s creative hub Stour Space, and with the event now looming on the horizon it seems a fitting (and almost overdue) outlet to showcase the burgeoning golden sound coming from the South London family.
The monthly parties will begin in October so peep our 22a label spotlight in the mean time for some golden vibes.
