Watch film-score composer Bill Ryder-Jones sampling around Liverpool

As part of Noisey and Philips collaborative music platform You Need To Hear This (a special project exploring evolution in music and innovation in sound) comes the third video in their Lost and Found series; getting artists to pay homage to their home cities through music.

With Scratcha DVA and Ital Tek previously featured, the series follows artists recording sounds around their city in order to then build a unique track exclusively hosted by You Need To Hear This.

The latest episode features English musician and film-score composer Bill Ryder Jones as he cruises around Liverpool recording the natural vibe of his city. From a trumpet player busking on the street to rustling trains whizzing by, follow the Domino Records signed artist as he collects an atmospheric catalogue of unique vibes to then build into a track.
